Disney cruise vacations are magical for your kids and even for you. The Disney Magic is a four star rated cruise line (according to many major cruise ship reviews) and has been in operation for over 10 years. The exterior decoration of the ship is not too childish as one would expect. There are Mickey Mouse ears painted on the funnels, but this is the extent of ostentatious décor. Most of the interior décor has childish Disney themed murals (what do you expect?) and is styled like the theme park.

The sports deck has a squash tennis court and there are areas that offer table tennis, shuffle board and a basketball court. There are three pools and are designated for adults, children and families. There are water slides for the kids and one of the pools even has an outdoor movie theater style screen. If you are looking for quiet, this is not the cruise line to take. There’s many screaming kids running all over the place and a moment with you and your loved one is quite hard to find. There’s music blaring all of the cruise ship and you will feel like you’re always in the action. Disney characters roam the ships and you will be able to take your picture with the likes of Mickey Mouse himself.

If you are looking for Disney memorabilia, never fear, there’s plenty of it on this ship. There are two major shops that sell on your Disney needs including, soft flush toys, buttons, collectives and clothing. Other facilities include a movie theater, sports bar, dance floor, lounge and a piano bar.

For adults that want to get away and have an evening by themselves, Disney Magic Cruise offers a day care drop-off service and is available in the evening time. There are even game shows for your little ones to keep them entertained at night.

A popular shore excursion is the Disney private island, Castaway Cay. This island is privately owned by Disney and is dedicated for the adventurous types. There is an adult only portion of the beach where you can get spa and massage treatment as well as alcoholic beverages. Another perk of going to the island is that the cruise ship can dock at the island. This means no boating over to the private island in a skimmer.

Basically, the cruise ship is like a theme park that floats on the water and takes you to the Caribbean. Embarking is not a chore because there are many festivities and sites to see when going onto the cruise ship vessel. Remember, these cruise ships are focused around the kids and are targeted towards families. Couples can go on these cruises but the day-time activities are quite limited. However, night time activities are abundant for adults. Never fear, adults will have plenty of activities to do as there is an adult only theme night club and movie theater. Also, you can unwind and relax with a spa treatment and pamper yourself with a thermal bath. There is something for everybody on Disney cruise vacations.
